Rob Riches' abdominal workout routine

As you get used to this exercise, you should try variations to make it harder to perform. Thus, you can raise you arms without bending them as you raise your legs. Next, you can repeat the exercises without lowering the head.

At each level, you should aim to add to the load on your abs. As you progress, you will feel your abdominal muscles tighten as they become stronger to support your leg, arm and head movements. Can you tie light load to each of your ankles? Yes you can, but within your comfort zone and equal load on each ankle. Inhaling during the raises will contract the abdominal muscles.

As you can see, such abdominal exercises do not pinch your pocket. Start with light exercises, gradually increasing the intensity as you get used to tougher regime; consciously act, if you experience pain when performing any exercise. You do not want to sprain any muscle. Advise: take mild breaks in between exercise for best result.

Not only will you ultimately get a healthy mid-section that many will look at with jealousy, but it will and also keep the back pain at bay. Besides, the overworked spine, your strong abdominal muscles will be your only support for the middle part of your body.
